Having Sensory Processing Disorder, six-year-old Anderson has a difficult time processing the sensory information he receives, and he can become overstimulated and anxious.
While building a special therapy room for a child can be difficult, time consuming, and incredibly expensive, this did not stop Anderson’s parents from doing everything in their power to create a special room just for their son. They researched items that could be put together in a room to provide a safe haven for Anderson while still allowing him to seek stimulation and a sense of calm, and they submitted their moving request to MGCA.
Your donation in 2016 allowed us to purchase these sensory-stimulating items for Anderson and, as you can see in the video, he cannot stop smiling.
